Although there are lots of applications for editing images, Repix for Android offers something different from the rest. Repix uses photo editing with filters, frames and settings along with the option of making changes by hand using its varied selection of brushes, great for creative users!
Instant filters, effects and tweaks
Repix groups its options into pre-designed effects, image adjustments, brushes, frames and crops.
The effects are reminiscent of apps like Instagram and range from classic black and white to more colorful or atmospheric effects. In addition to the filters included in the app, you can buy additional packs.
The picture settings in Repix are pretty standard: brightness, contrast, color, vignette, etc. The cropping and framing work the same as they do in most photo editing apps.
Repix also has a separate section for brushes. In the style of Photoshop effects, you can apply them by hand to sections of an image, as well as using them to pixelate and posterize. You can purchase additional packs for more burshes too.
Once you've edited the image, you can save it or share it without leaving the application.
Repix instantly displays editing effects. Select the effect, adjust the values and see the changes without waiting. You really appreciate the real time effect, especially if you use the brushes (although there is a handy eraser in case you make mistakes).
In other respects, Repix's design is very attractive and practical. All the tools are listed at the bottom of the screen and the image takes up most of the space.
More creative editing
Repix is a combination of photo effect app and a drawing app. If you're looking for an app to retouch your photos but want a bit more creative freedom, Repix is a really interesting option.
